Kinesiology is a complementary and natural therapy that is based in both western medicine and eastern philosophies. A kinesiologist is trained to read and understand the body's biofeedback mechanism through muscle testing. Muscle testing can highlight imbalances within the body, mind or energy systems and can also show where stress is affecting these systems.

Your physiology and psychology have a direct influence on each other, and it is through this body-mind connection that Kinesiology can help you to become aware of information about yourself that is usually hidden, such as how your thoughts or emotions may be creating stress responses within your physiology and biochemistry.

Stress is a natural response to either internal or external pressure.  Whenever we perceive a threat on an emotional or mental level, the body releases the hormone cortisol and the stress response is almost instant! 

Normally, the body reverts back to its normal state after a certain period of time after the stressor has disappeared. However, if there is constant stressful thoughts and emotions, reverting the physiology back to a state of balance is not possible. 

Over time, chronic stress can lead to many health problems, due to its effects on our biochemistry and physiology.

If left unresolved, stress patterns can create imbalances in the body, mind and energy systems. Stress patterns can disrupt the natural balance and regulation of these systems, which can lead to a variety of symptoms and imbalances. 

Since kinesiology provides a means of direct access to subconscious information, it offers the ability to seek out the cause of stress patterns that may be behind your imbalances, which then creates awareness of what needs to change. 

Once the causes of the imbalances are found, Kinesiology can also assist to find what is needed to clear the stress so that the body can revert back to a place of balance.
